Designed for a Masters Course titled Design Workshop, reUse.org is a service design concept that plays on Craig's List's ''curb alert'' behavior, a last-minute way to flag items on the curb that will be trashed. Unable to easily share news of free items I pass on the streets of NYC, I designed a service where community members can post and be alerted of items in their neighborhood via SMS or email alerts. reUse encourages its members to snap mobile pictures of items passed to the ''curb alert'' area. By integrating mobile communication with the time-sensitive action of finding/disposing of items, reUse.org makes it more likely that users will be connected to items they need.
